Helene is a Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) teacher (Mindfulness Training Institute Australasia and Yoga Teacher (Samadhi Yoga). She has a Bachelor of Applied Science and a Masters in Health and Social Wellbeing, which focussed on mindfulness research and its application in contemporary professional settings and the Buddhist framework for mindfulness based ethical action.
She is a graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors (GAICD), is a non-executive director in the health and not for profit sector and has extensive executive management experience. Her provision of professional advice has included governance, risk and strategy, particularly in the health and human services, workplace health & safety, transport, planning and legal sectors.
She currently consults to organisations in corporate and personal governance using mindfulness based tools to enhance personal and organisational life and performance. She is particularly interested in the use of transformational educational programs for a kinder and wiser world including the use of mindfulness based tools for enhanced ethical decision making and behaviour for improved corporate social responsibility.
Helene has taught mindfulness in a range of workplace and community settings for several years through a range of programs including introductory workshops, conference and seminar presentations and four, six and eight week programs.
Helene’s has been a practitioner of mindfulness and yoga for over twenty years and is informed from a variety of traditional and contemporary mindfulness approaches.
